Forget about the routine and plunge into the world of comfort in the heart of Miami.

The InterContinental is located in downtown Miami, on the shores of Biscayne Bay. You can notice it from afar — this is a 35-story tower on the eastern edge of the city center in Bayfront Park.

Built around Henry Moore's Spindle sculpture, the luxurious InterContinental Hotel sits on the waterfront in downtown Miami. There are 33 meeting rooms covering 100,000 square feet. Professional staff will help you organize a wedding, meeting or celebration. The ballroom, which can accommodate up to 800 guests, is decorated with decorative chandeliers.

Hotel Description

Intercontinental Miami was built in an unconventional way. Instead of constructing the hotel and then decorating it, the builders started with a sculpture. A marble statue by Henry Moore was the heart of the building.

The renowned architect Pietro Belluschi designed the 34-story hotel in 1982. Originally, it was intended to be a casino. Before Intercontinental acquired it, the building was known as Pavilion Hotel.

Intercontinental Miami is located just a 5-minute drive from the FTX Arena and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Various shops and restaurants, as well as a bus stop and the Metromover light rail station, are within walking distance. The rooms offer views of the Atlantic Ocean, Biscayne Bay, and the Port of Miami.

The hotel lobby is an elegant entrance, featuring Italian marble tiles and precious African wood. Since its inception, the hotel has hosted heads of state, artists, and athletes. It employs 615 people, 33 of whom have been working there for over 25 years. They serve 500,000 people each year. The hotel has 641 rooms in total, including 34 suites.
