San Diego Zoo and Safari Park
The San Diego Zoo is not only one of the largest zoos in the United States but also houses an extensive collection of endangered animals. If your legs get tired during your walk, the zoo offers a 35-minute guided bus tour. There's also the Skyfari aerial tram, which transports visitors from one end of the park to the other, providing a bird's-eye view.
Travelers agree that the San Diego Zoo is the best they've ever experienced. Park visitors are impressed by the sheer number of animals and how close they can get to them. If you want to see even more wildlife, we'll take you to the Safari Park. Here, you can observe lions, elephants, cheetahs, as well as meerkats, zebras, gorillas, and bald eagles.
A day is not enough to see everything — the park is truly vast. We recommend wearing good walking shoes, as the distance between some animal exhibits can be a 20-minute walk. As part of our tour, after a walk through the wildlife park, we'll arrive at the Safari Park, where you'll be offered several options for your experience: there are classic caravans, tram tours, or modern safaris where you'll ride on a Segway X2.
Regardless of which safari you choose, you'll see all kinds of African animals. Over 3,500 animals representing 439 species live on 1,800 acres of land. Next, we'll leisurely explore Temecula. You'll enjoy tastings at three local wineries and learn about the region's fascinating history from our tour guide. We'll visit Frangipani Estate Winery, Wilson Creek Winery, and Callaway Vineyard and Winery.
The tour follows a scenic route along De Portola Road with our guide, who will share insights into wine tasting culture, the unique nuances of the terrain, the historical significance of the valley in Southern California's development, and the reasons for Temecula's winemaking prosperity. And the tour will conclude with a tasting of wines sold exclusively within the valley. This beautiful, refined location offers stunning views.
