History and description of the hotel
Four Seasons is a hotel located near Miami Beach that provides world-class services and amenities. The idea for the club was born on a yacht on a winter day in the late 1920s. The ship was owned by tire magnate Harvey Firestone. Several of his friends, including Miami Beach founders Karl Fisher and Irving Collins, were cruising the coast when they spotted the incredibly beautiful scenery on the beach. At the height of Prohibition, they longed for a secluded place to gather, and as soon as they saw this place, the stars aligned. Since its opening on New Year's Eve 1930, the Surf Club has become a gathering place for prominent figures of the last century. Guests included Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Elizabeth Taylor and Winston Churchill.
Here, in March 2017, they created the Four Seasons Hotel, combining the glory of the past with the possibilities of the future, bringing to life the next chapter of this legendary club.
There was always something interesting going on here, from poolside fashion shows and parties to boxing nights.
