International Women's Day dates back to the early 20th century when women began actively fighting for their rights and equality. In 1908, a march was held in New York City by women demanding better wages and the right to vote. In 1910, Clara Zetkin proposed establishing International Women's Day at the International Conference of Socialist Women. In 1911, this holiday was first celebrated in Austria, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland.
Since then, March 8 has become a symbol of the fight for equal rights and opportunities for women. Today, it is a day to honor women and their achievements in various fields of life.
