Anna Kolb Nature Center is a park in the vicinity of Miami, located in Hollywood and opened in early February 1996. The complex consists of almost 600 hectares of coastal forests, mainly mangroves.
A huge number of animals live on these fascinating lands, among which there are even rare species that are no longer anywhere in the world. The same can be said about plants: on the territory of Anna Kolb Nature Center there are many of them, and some have almost disappeared from the face of the earth.
Every traveler who decides to stay for a week, a month or even a long time in the amazing southern city is obliged to visit Anna Kolb Nature Center. The whole flora and fauna is of great value, because in 10-20 years, perhaps, many of the rare species people will never see again.
Anna Kolb Park is located at a distance from the busy life of the metropolis, spreading along the coast. The park is named after the first woman commissioner elected in 1974. In 1981, she died, and for her services to nature and the National Environment Fund, the park was named after her.
On the south side is the West Lake, which can be used for kayaking. Here you can go fishing.
What to see in Anna Kolb Park
The territory of Anna Kolb Nature Center is considered one of the largest in Florida and the USA:

- fishing pier.
The owners offer a unique compromise to those who want to visit the most often forests, but do not want to move along difficult paths. Some paths are lined with boards and you can easily ride bicycles on them. Detailed signs are placed throughout the center; you won’t get lost.

Any excursion on the reserve’s square can be ordered with a guide, he will tell the maximum amount of useful and interesting information. There are wonderful gazebos on bicycle paths where you can rest and recharge your inspiration from beautiful landscapes. But especially interesting events await you in the thick of the forests. Dangerous predators are not found here, or access to them is limited. But you can meet birds and animals that you have never seen in your life even in books!
The twenty-meter giant located in the park of Anna Kolb is open to tourists. It offers incredible views of the Atlantic and mangrove estuaries, the Coastal Canal and the lake. You can visit the comfortable center in the green zone in order to get acquainted with the mangrove ecosystem, with its functions and features. It also houses a detailed map and an aquarium in which amazing representatives of the ecosystem live.
On Sundays and Saturdays, workers talk about the inhabitants of the aquarium, these days you can lively see how the fish are fed, how they are looked after. And in the park there is a hall for banquets of 300 square meters. m. Weddings and other celebrations are held here.
Visitors can rent a boat or bike. The territory of the center is fairly well furnished, but there are wild trails where you can walk only on foot. But only on them you can fully experience the beauty of everything that is on the territory of the natural complex. The courtyard surrounding the hall can be arranged for any occasion.
