A bit of history

This place is rightfully included in the US National History Register. Swimming pool formed in 1924 on the territory of a stone quarry. From the very beginning it was called the "Venetian Casino", but then it was renamed. Today, this pool is not only the most beautiful in the United States, but also accessible to absolutely everyone.

In 1925, George Merrick decided to make his dream a reality by creating a full-fledged Mediterranean city of Coral Gables, in which you could not only conduct a serious business, but also live with all the amenities and special comforts.

It was in this grandiose plan that the construction of a gorgeous pool was included. Coral limestone was mined from the quarry where the pool is located to decorate town houses and squares.
