The conservation area also has a picturesque 21-kilometer highway that runs through canyons and peaks. When hiking, climbing or riding, watch for animals, including wild horses, donkeys, coyotes and lynxes.

60 kilometers east of the center of Las Vegas is located Meade National Recreation Area, offering year-round recreational activities: boating, fishing, excursions, picnics and hiking.
