Partnerships also connect Gulliver School with Florida International University.

History

Founded in 1926 by Arthur Gulliver at Coconut Grove, the Gulliver Academy was compared to the prestigious academies of the northeastern United States and initially attracted families who came to winter in Florida.

At the end of 1953, Marian Krutulis acquired a school. As a pioneer in education, Marian presented the school as a luxury home in which students and teachers will feel like part of a caring family. For 25 years, she transferred the academy to Coral Gables, built a preparatory school for high school students in Pinecrest, and received the Blue Ribbon of Excellence from the US Department of Education, which elevated Gulliver to one of the best schools in the region.

Today, Gulliver serves more than 2,200 students in Pre K3 – 12 classes across four campuses. Despite significant growth over the past 60 years, Gulliver still supports the vision of Marian Krutilis, in supporting the physical health and socio-emotional state of his students, and prepares them to become honest people in everything that they say and do.
