Story

Four UCLA graduates originally wanted to open a restaurant that would host a marine life show. After a little research, they realized that the idea was not feasible.

Instead, they decided to create SeaWorld to compete with Marineland of the Pacific, which at the time was the largest park of its kind. SeaWorld was opened in 1964. Later that year, the dolphin TV show Flipper debuted. Spectators were delighted with these animals and wanted to see them in person, thus the park received an additional audience.

Facing huge debts, the owners sold their theme park to Anheuser-Busch in 1989. Under their leadership, SeaWorld continued to grow, adding the Wild Arctic exhibition in 1997, Wreck Rafting in 1999, and Atlantis Ice Rink Journey in 2004. And this is in addition to the show of killer whales, dolphins and sea lions.

In recent years, owners have developed many rules that have become standard practices for the care and breeding of marine mammals. SeaWorld employees are constantly helping in the rescue, care and rehabilitation of the affected representatives of the ocean.

Visiting Tips

The park often has special offers that you may not know about. Check out the current promotions on their website first. Worth noting in particular are free admission for military personnel and dependents, as well as two free tickets for kindergarten teachers and teachers.

There is a high chance of getting wet in many places in the park, so choose clothes that you will feel comfortable in even if it is wet. Use sunscreen and wear a sun hat. Comfortable shoes are also a must.

Tours

This 6-hour VIP immersive tour brings together a collection of activities carefully curated just for you. From encounters with the most amazing marine animals to reserved seats at the show, this is a full day VIP experience.
